Pastor Gib Botten
Pastor Gib grew up in Southern California where he graduated from high school. The family moved to Colorado, where Gib graduated with a degree in Forestry from Colorado State. He then began working with a college ministry called InterVarsity Christian fellowship—serving in Southern Colorado and as the director of the InterVarsity affiliated group in Puerto Rico. As an ordained pastor (having received an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary), Gib has served congregations in Kansas, Nebraska and now Washington. He is married to Denise (an instructor at the Everett Community College) and has three daughters—two of them grown and one still at home. Gib’s hobbies include fly-fishing, biking and running. But his main ministry passion is discipleship and leadership training within the church.
Lauryn Smith - Director of Children's & Youth Ministry, AM Office Administrator
Lauryn grew up in Marysville, Washington where she graduated from Lakewood High School. She attended and graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a certification in Youth Ministry. She was hired at Prince of Peace and began working at the end of summer of the same year. Lauryn has been involved in Children’s and Youth Ministry since middle school, an interest and passion that followed her through college leading to her position here at Prince of Peace. Her hobbies include crafts, reading, listening to and playing music, and spoiling her niece!
Julie Reymore - PM Office Administrator
Julie was born and raised in Olympia, Washington with two sisters and a brother. She worked for over 25 years in the Savings and Loan Industry, then started her own Mortgage Company, which was the first second mortgage broker in the State of Washington. After closing the company, worked at Home Depot and Everett Builders as a salesperson. After caring for husband who had Alzheimer’s disease, she then worked at Rosewood Courte, an Alzheimers Community in Edmonds and then went to the Non-Profit organization Bethany of the Northwest Foundation to raise funds for the needs of the residents.
Michelle Nilsen - Preschool Director
Michelle has worked for Prince of Peace Preschool for 21 years. She started as a teacher (her youngest child was in her first class) and was promoted to Director in 2008. Her greatest passion is to teach children about the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
When she is not working, Michelle loves spending time with friends and family (especially her two grandsons), walking/hiking with her three dogs and escaping to her cabin where she embraces her “be still and know” time with God.
Melanie Zamora - Preschool Office Administrator
Melanie was born and raised in Everett where she has been a life long member of Prince of Peace. She is involved with the Bell Choir, Praise Band, Youth group and has been the captain of the PPLC Relay for Life team for the past 6 years. She has a son, Francisco who works at the Washington Oaks Retirement home. Melanie was hired as the Preschool office Manager in 2009 and has loved it ever since.
Rob Gillespie - Director of Music Ministry
Rob Gillespie has served as the Director of Music for the past 10 years. He directs the Adult Choir, Bell Choir and leads the Worship Band. His love for music started as a young man singing in the Church choir and playing trumpet in the High School band. After he graduated High School he joined the United States Marine Corps and attended the Armed Forces School of Music and served honorably until 2004. Rob has 2 sons Robert Jr. and Michael who grew up singing in the Choir, playing bells and played with the Worship band. When not at the Church Rob loves spending time with family and watch the Seahawks and fishing.
