Children's & Youth Ministry

Children & Youth

Children and youth are an important part of our congregation! They are the church here and now, and they are constantly shaping and reshaping our community. Our vision for youth ministry is for every child to know they are loved unconditionally by God. We work to call, equip, and ultimately send out our young people to live as people beloved by God and set free by the cross.

Our Children’s & Youth Ministry is led by our Youth & Education Committee, which meets when scheduled to discuss and plan for upcoming events and ongoing ministries. All parents of children involved in our ministries are invited to come to meetings, along with anyone interested in volunteering in our children’s and youth ministries. Contact the church office with any questions about our Youth & Education Committee!

Keep an eye on our calendar page for upcoming events, scheduled committee meetings, and opportunities to worship together!

Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God

July 27th-31st from 5:30-8:30 PM

Ages 4 years by July 27th (must be potty-trained) through entering 6th grade in the fall are invited to attend!

This summer we'll step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids will plunge into a life-long adventure, discovering the nature of God, and exploring what it means to be rooted in relationship with their creator, a safe place in life's storms! Ongoing Ministries

  • Children’s Sunday School every Sunday during the 9:30 AM service following the children’s sermon, for ages 4 years through 5th grade. We experience the Bible lesson where we focus on one weekly point, discuss what it means and how it applies to our own lives, do some hands on discovery in craft or experiment form, play a game, and pray together!
  • First Communion Class for 4th grade and up. This is a 3 session course offered usually once a year to prepare students for taking their First Communion, for understanding and believing what it means for our faith. Please contact us if you have a student ready to take this step!
  • Teen Bible Study Lunch on the last Sunday of the month, we meet after worship for lunch, Bible study, and fellowship together. We study various topics of the Bible and themes that apply to our own lives today, all teenagers are invited to join at any time!
  • Confirmation Class for 7th & 8th grade on Wednesday nights during the school year. This is a weekly class meant to really hone in our Christian beliefs, what they mean for us in our day to day and spiritual journeys, and to ultimately affirm or confirm our baptism in Christ.
