Pastor Gib Botten
Pastor Gib was born and raised in Southern California. After high school he moved with his family to Colorado. Following college he served in campus ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in that state throughout the 80’s and later (after finishing his MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary) served with the same ministry in Puerto Rico in the 90’s.
As an ordained pastor, Gib has served congregations in Kansas, Nebraska, and Washington. He has been married to Denise (currently an instructor at the Everett Community College) for 42 years and has three daughters. Gib’s passion is teaching, discipleship and leadership training in the congregation. Hobbies include: playing guitar, working out, and fly-fishing.
Carol Guanzon - Preschool Director
Carol has two children: a son and a daughter. Carol and her husband serve in their local church in Marysville. He is their church usher and family cook. Carol plays the piano for their worship services and shares the gospel of Jesus Christ through personal visitations. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and personal Savior when she lived in Guam. Since then, she has committed her life to sharing the good news of Jesus' resurrection and His gift of everlasting life!
Before she received the blessing of this role as director, Carol was a preschool teacher. She taught for 12 years. Before teaching, she volunteered at a local hospital, helping children. She wanted to help more, so she became a certified nursing assistant. When she realized the medical approach provided an understanding of the childrens' unique challenges, she concluded that early childhood education is where the foundation of learning and roots of experience begin.
Lauryn Brunskill – Church Office Administrator and Director of Children’s & Youth Ministry
Lauryn grew up in Marysville, Washington where she graduated from Lakewood High School. She attended and graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a certification in Youth Ministry. She was hired at Prince of Peace and began working at the end of summer of the same year as the Director of Children's & Youth Ministry. She took on the position of Office Administrator in addition to her kid's & youth ministry duties a few years later.
Lauryn has been involved in Children’s and Youth Ministry since middle school, an interest and passion that followed her through her education leading to her position here at Prince of Peace. She loves spending time with her husband, family, and pets. Her hobbies include hiking, crafts, reading, music, and spoiling her niece and nephews!
